I was in the process of trying to purchase a Saint Bernard puppy. Referred to AKC Puppies For Sale And Adoption which then referred me to Petz4home.com. They found me a puppy & I agreed to the initial transaction of $500 after doing research to see if it was legit. They had their own website, contacts and reviews. They sent me pictures of the puppy along w/his papers & pedigree. The person I was working w/was [email protected]. After the initial $500 transaction was processed, they were going to deliver the puppy through Starwood pet delivery & their email is Starwoodpetdeliveryagency.com. I was then later sent an email from the delivery agency stating that I had to pay $1,400 for pet insurance that would be refundable upon delivery of the puppy. There was no initial agreement of this money prior to any delivery so it made me concerned. They then tried using multiple tactics trying to get me to pay the extra $1,400 for insurance or I would not get the puppy. At that point, I felt very uncomfortable w/any further transaction & asked if they would return the puppy to its rightful owner & refund my money. After that, my connection with the breeder disappeared and I was unable to send any further messages. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY w/ AKC puppies for sale and adoption, Petz4home, Starwood pet delivery agency or anyone named Douglas Ashby as this is a complete fraudulent SCAM.
