I inquired about a dog on the website by filling out a form that included my name, phone number, location (I live in Texas) and email address. I received a text saying that the breeder lived in Colorado so they could ship me the puppy after I paid the fee. I asked a lot of questions about the dog and they answered. They even sent over an adoption contract, but I said that I wasn't comfortable sending money without meeting the dog. They offered to do a google chat so I said yes and the guy initially didn't answer my call but then called me back and there were some puppies walking around on the video, but when I asked to meet the specific dog I was looking at he ended the call and then texted and said something came up. I said that we would need to do another video call so I could meet the dog and he said something about how he was moving and didn't have time. At this point I was 99% sure it was a scam. I told him that my brother-in-law lives in Colorado (which is true) and would be willing to come meet the dog, and pay for the dog in person and then the guy got hostile with me. I told him that I knew it was a scam and at this point I had done some more research and found this person's webpage flagged as a scam on a website called "The Puppy Scammer List." The guy got even more hostile and said that if I ever wanted to get this dog, I needed to follow his instructions. I told him that I wasn't falling for it and now I'm reporting it.
