I posted my used vehicle on AutoTrader.com and CarGurus.com for sale. Shortly after I received a text message inquiring about the car. They then asked a couple questions about the vehicle and was fine with the price. They then said they were going to purchase it. They wanted me to take it off the market, which I did not do. A few days later I received a text stating good news, they had sent the check. I received the check Of course, for more than the amount I was selling for (for shipping costs). I then contacted the bank listed on the check, which did not look completely real, to verify if it was real or not. The bank ran the information as advised me not to cash the check. The return address on the envelope had a completely different address and state than the check.
