I thought I was booking a flight with Southwest. The woman on the phone wouldn't let me use the credit that I had on my account and pushed me to book anyway, despite my apprehension. She pushed and pushed until I gave in and booked. I paid taxes and fees of $75 which were charged to my credit card. They sent me a text saying that my booking was arranged and that my card was charged. They left a phone number to call with questions. My daughter said that it sounded fishy so she and I called the number back. The guy who answered admitted that they were a "third party booking agency" and had no affiliation with Southwest. They refunded the fees when my daughter made it known that they were operating fraudulently and were deceitful. The email on the website is not valid either: [email protected] - also I called and alerted my credit card company and they said that nothing was charged.. so they just took my information.
