I purchased tickets from Fares Journey website. I placed the purchase last night 04/25/24 of $387.74. I bought the tickets for my uncle as he needs assistance to purchase online because he cannot navigate his phone. Around 2am, they were blowing up my phone saying they made a mistake, and the ticket is actually $450.00. Because it was 2 in the morning; I decided to call back today 04/26/24. They transferred my call about 4 times until finally speaking to someone. The person I spoke to was Shawn Harris. He stated that there no longer were tickets available in economy only main cabin and that is what is causing the change in price. At first, he stated it was going to be $419.84. After some back and forth he said the price difference will only now be $405.84 and that he made it happen by including a "senior discount" which my uncle is not even a senior so that made no sese and that he included an extra bag and the ability to select seats due to the inconvenience. When he sent me the new invoice, he was very pushy for me to just click acknowledge without letting me look through it. I noticed that in the breakdown was the charge of the "ticket" of $370.29 and a separate charge under "my flight support" but at the bottom they had it under taxes and fees which again made no sense. When I questioned him about it, he said he would correct it and sent a new invoice with the full amount under the category for the "ticket". He confirmed that all the money was to the airline. I accepted and he then provided me my confirmation number for me to check the flight on the airline's website. The Airline is VIVA aerobus. When I went to enter the confirmation on the airline's website, I saw that the ticket was still economy, and no seat selection or extra bag added. They also have someone else's email under the contact information. My bank account was also showing the 2 separate charges and not what is on my invoice.

Person posed as Lufthansa representative and told me that my flight ticket was put on standby and I needed to pay $499 to confirm my seat. They charged my credit card, then cancelled my flight!

I have an emergency so I wanted to buy a flight ticket from Orlando, Fl. to Lima-Peru, and they offered me a flight with a nice itinerary with American Airlines. After I paid full for it, I never got a ticket, but they called me at the last minute telling me I was supposed to take another flight with a totally different itinerary..,messed me up with all my plans.. now I'm without the money back to my credit card and looking for a ticket to Peru, and because the time is closer, tickets are more expensive.. I believe that it is a scam because they are trying to catch people offering fake tickets, making paid for it and later giving an inferior option since they already got the money.

Purchased an airline ticket on-line and was told it was a business class ticket, when it was ticketed it was an economy ticket. Called the airline, they said it was just purchased as an economy ticket and then sold to you as business class. When speaking with the representative, Natalia, at Best Fare Tickets, she said, well that was just a promotional fare and by the time it ticketed the promotion was over, so you just get economy and it is not refundable. Airline said they would refund the portion they received. This is a big scam and consumer fraud and people need to know about it.

I thought I was dialing Japan Airlines, but I was one digit off and it connected me with this fake company.

The number I accidentally dialed was 1-800-528-3663 (one off from JAL's number of 1-800-525-3663)

Charging me for reserving seats on an international flight (JAL) and asking me for confirmation codes, frequent flyer numbers, DOBs, credit card info, emails, address, etc....

I fell for it but had a weird feeling about it and then did some research afterwards and cancelled my payment through credit card company due to suspected fraud.

I was doing a price check for round trip airline ticket from Des Moines, Iowa to Miami, Florida with several different airlines, a box popped up from "Best Ticket Fares" for a round trip ticket for $400. I clicked on it and filled out info including credit card information to make purchase. I received a booking confirmation #. The next day I was called by a foreign person who wanted give me details of my booking. They proceded to tell me my ticket was 60% off other airlines flights and so it did not include any luggage nor an assigned seat yet, but he can take of that by bringing my ticket price up to $699. I informed him this is a fraud and to cancel my trip. He told he couldn't do that. Informed him in the US of America one has 48 hrs to change their mind on a monetary transaction. He told me they are an agency who doesn't do that. I hung up and immediately called my credit card company, $400 had not yet come out so I cancelled by card. The guy called me back multiple times to discuss with me my reservation. Informed him I have no reservation and hung up on me. He even tempted to contact me through my email.

Bought airline ticket from vendor with banner advertising on Expedia website. Purchased r/t for $362. Messaged from vendor, sale pending. Immediate call from vendor stating ticket for economy cabin only no carry-on allowed wanted to upsale me for over $500.00. I refused, cancelled and rebooked a new reservation with same company for same price. Got email stating sale pending. Company repeatedly attempted to call me. I never answered attempts. Never received my ticket. Total bait and switch.

The number for Fareandy was the first that popped up when I goggled JetBlue so I called it directly from Google Chrome thinking it was a direct line to JetBlue, and the rep who answered seemed to be JetBlue rep. He helped me change my flight and then told me I owed $105 in “taxes,” which seemed odd. He sent me an email with the change in flight info and the charges and asked me to reply to the email that I confirmed the changes. He successfully rebooked my flight but when I called JetBlue they told me my date had no change fees and I should not have been charged anything to change the flight, much less charged “taxes.” I admit the email asking me to confirm did seem suspicious but I figure it was JetBlue’s new policy. I did not too e that the return email address was not from JetBlue but from fareandfly. When I called FareandFly later to dispute the charge they always hung up on me. JetBlue confirmed the fraud.

I booked flight online with American Airlines & was told I should get email confirmation once booked . I waited and got a phone call from a “manager “ to rev my resv saying the one reserved was basic back of plane and won’t be able to sit together. He went along to offer a “better” pkg with luggage and all can seat together for $699 which was almost $300 more then initial resv I had . I told him I was aware of basic pkg & didn’t want to upgrade . At that point he told american airlines had sold out of all basics flight can search for other flights . I told him no thank you & cancel all didn’t want to do any kind of business as they were trying to scam customers . He proceeded to tell me he will cancel but I don’t feel safe as they have all my & family contact info along with credit card .

The scammer used the pretense of Allegiant Airlines to split my airline tickets into 2 payments, totaling $3,332. They charged both cards but when I went to check into the airline for the flight, Allegiant told me it was a scam and I had no tickets. I had to rebook at a higher cost and now I have to dispute both charges hoping that they will be able to give me my money back. We tried to live chat and call the company to no avail.
