On Monday, March 9,2020, we purchased round trip Air fare throught Air Tkt for tickets from San Diego to Phoenix, AZ for $84 per person (2). We paid on line $168.00. We immediately recieved an email that indicated it will take 1 to 5 hours to recieve our confirmation. The next morning, there was no confirmation. We tried calling the 800 number provided. It kept us on hold for more than 30 minutes every time we called. The call would drop or we received a messsage the line was busy and then hang up. At this point we feared we were scammed. We called our Credit Union where we used a debit card to pay the tickets. The money was already deducted. Later Tuesday morning, we received an email that Air Tkt needed us to call and confirm additional information before they could complete the confirmation. We tried on numerous occasions to call. They provided a second number (213- 955-9695). We tried both numbers and received the same problems, either on hold forever, then the call would drop or the line was busy. Finally on Wednesday morning, while on hold for nearly 30 minutes someone answered. He advised us the price went up. The only way to keep the same reservation with American airlines was to pay the higher price or they would cancel the tickets. We were outraged. We did argue with this person, who sounded like he was from India. He said was cancelling our tickets since we did not respond within 24 hours and eventually hung up. We refused to pay the higher price.

They had sent us numerous emails and text messages. We responded to each one advising them we cannot reach them by phone and to let us know what the additional information was that they needed. Each time we received the same email or text. John recieved a phone call from a company named Eros Tours & Travels. His phone alerted him that this was a scam call from India. He did not answer it. They left a voice message that was the same as the emails and text messages.

We called our credit union to stop the $168 dollar payment. It was already processed. We called American Airlines directly and purchased new tickets at a price of $88.42 each. Very similar to our original purchase. In addition, American Airlines representative advised us that our purchase through Air Tkt was cancelled on Tuesday, not Wednesday as the Air Tkt representative stated. While on the phone Wednesday morning with the representative from Air Tkt, he raised the price $130 above the $168 we werre originally charged.

We were scammed by this company and need to warn other customers about their business practice.
