This company presented themselves as a Computer support company. Instead they were able to access my home router and wifi. Then they send a warning signal to my computer to call them as soon as possible stating that some one was taking over my computer. I called the number and the person answering the phone stated he worked for Microsoft and that I was in real trouble. That I need it to help him get into my computer to see what was going on. Once he was able to remotely accessed the computer system, he told me that some one had gotten into my IP address and they had taken over my computer system. He stated that the only way to fix it was by a level 3 technician. He also stated that no one else could help me but them and not to bother taking it any where else because they were not allowed to access to that part of the computer system drive with out government approval. He told me he was going to find a company in my area that could help me. He referred me to a company name Global Soft Solutions. He stated that they were a trusted government company and they could help me fix my computer. He stated that he was going to directly transfer me to them. Supposedly he transferred me to them and the person answering the phone told me to shut off all my devices connected to the wifi because all were in danger to get hacked. Including my cell phones and any other computers or devices. I did as he said then he told to it was going to be $398.00 to fix each computer. He stated that he knew I had two computer connected to the the server and he was going to charge me $398.00 more to fix all my problems. He stated that it was to dangerous to use my credit card as payment due to some steeling my card information. He convinced me to give him an electronic check payment. He asked for my bank account and check number. He proceeded to supposedly fix my computers, instead he blocked my firewall, disabled my anti- virus and removed my Norton PC computer cleaning system. He also changed my IP address an he installed his own computer software into my computer. He than stated that my computer had been fixed and I can use it any time I want. He also stated not buy any more anti-virus programs that they were going to protect me for now on. All this immediately raised a lot of red flags and I immediately contacted other internet solution company and they checked my computer again only to find out that my computer was not fixed. They stated that there were over 200 issues with my computer and also wanted money to fix it after they advised me I had been scammed. I hanged up the phone and took my computer to a local expert store and they also advised me I had been scammed. I was able to stop payment to AG Blue Chip technology also know as Global Soft Solutions. After many days of dealing with my local internet provider and buying new equipment, I was able to resolved the problem. I researched the company and there is no record of them as being part of Microsoft. I am still dealing with AG Blue Chip Technology as they want to force me to pay for services they did not provide. Would really like to stop this SCAM from continuing. Some of us usually know just enough about the computer to be dangerous. We can get Scam really quick and easy.
