First, I called my mother to make sure she was ok. Then, I called the phone number they left me in their voice mail. I spoke with a woman who wanted to know my name. I told her that first I wanted to know what company she was calling from. "AFS," she said. I told her I could give her their case number in reference to the phone call I received, but she said she couldn't help me unless I gave her my name, and hung up on me.
My brother-in-law got a phone call shortly after I did. Seems like this bogus company is trying to do everything they can to commit fraud however possible.
After some research, I came across court documents on the Federal Trade Commission's website. The company is being investigated for "Unlawful Business Practices." DO NOT give them money under any circumstance.
