On July 20, 2016, first received a call at my work phone from a Field Agent (phone number 310-870-3642) informing me that there were 2 petitions filed against me in Long Beach CA. When I asked what for he said I needed to contact AFF. He provided me with their phone number and case number. He said that if I didn't contact them they would come to my work. I told him that I didn't know what he was talking about and hung up. He then called me on my cell number 5 more times and I told him that he was harassing me and that is illegal. I then called him back and told him he needed to stop calling me. He called me again but this time he blocked his number so it did not show up on my caller ID. He then called my daughter on her cell phone and left her a message regarding the collection. She called me because she was concerned. I contacted the number he gave me (855-208-6829) and asked for Alice Morgan, the name he gave me. She provided me with information on the 2 petitions which I did not recognize. She said I owed $500.00 I told her I thought that this was a scam and I would need to talk to my lawyer. She said that maybe I should have my lawyer present when they come to my work. Afterwards, realizing this was a scam, I called Ms. Morgan and asked her for her mailing address to provide to my lawyer. She said that my lawyer would have to call her. I told he that's not the way it works. She repeated that my lawyer should be present when they come to my work and then she hung up.
