Type of a scam Online Purchase
He said he wanna buy this via paypal right now but not via the webpage it was posted on.
Then, he said, he need to use MoneyGram for paying his pickup agent. So he told me he will attach the money for agent and commission fee.
After that, I felt this is like a scam and its gonna be complicated.
Paypal sent confirmation mail to me saying the money was transferred but held due to safety. And what do i need to do is....(according to him)
I need to send £300 to pick up agent via MoneyGram and get the receipt and send the receipt to Paypal.
However, emails were weird, and I am a Web Developer so know a bit about IT. So I checked properly the supposed 'paypal' email, and it was sent from [email protected]. So this is when i realised there was something really wrong in this whole story.
The only info I have is the supposed shipping agent:
