In June of 2015, I was contacted by phone to apply for a federal grant. I agreed to proceed with that. I went through a process of a company getting me a business license and setting up a business plan for me. This particular company then contacted me and sent me a booklet to fill out in which I was to put down information about my attempts at starting an online business and money that I would like to receive to help me pay off some debt that I had incurred in starting that business. Advanced Social Media kept in touch with me regularly. I took some over the phone training to fill out the booklet. They told me that they would submit this information to the government who were willing to help people like me start a business. I was in contact with Paul Rose at this number who kept encouraging me and telling me that it would happen soon. Then after a few months, he told me that they would now start sending to private corporations who were giving out grant money to people. The fact that I am 76 years old, a woman, and my husband is a veteran, we were told that we would have a very good chance of getting a grant. They were asking for $50,000.00. Of course, I have never received anything and now they will not answer the phone or return my calls. I was told by my tax-preparer that it was surely a scam.
