I recently had been in contacted with someone through LinkedIn and they sent me an inbox messaged regarding a part time position through Advance Market Research. The person’s name through LinkedIn his name was Jim I am sorry but I can’t remember his last name and since then he has deactivated his LinkedIn account. He sent me a link which I read and basically, I could earn extra income when I get an assigned sent to me. I did check into the company. It had a website on the letter that was sent to me the guys names David Vogel Senior Qualitative Director & the name of the company so to me it looks legit. I was told to fill out the information and someone would be in contact with me. I just gave my name, phone number, address, and email address. A week or so later I received a letter in the mail along with a $2,975.25-dollar check. The letter reads to go to the post office get 5 money orders in this amount $500.00 then mail it out to this person Gail King and I would receive a profit of $373.00 with a remaining of $75.00. I considered this and turns out it is a fraud and “too good to be true”. My concern is the person I met on LinkedIn in by the name of Jim his resume should a host of jobs his worked at in the social services field. I am worried his taking advantages of people his worked with even those of low-income families. However, I am not sure if his list of employment were real or not. Not sure if anything can be done. I do still have the letter that was sent to me from Advanced Market Research and the phony check they sent me as well. I never gave any financial information out or cashed the check. Only my phone number, name, address and email address was given. I wanted ScamPulse.com to know what happen. I do still have the letter and the check they sent me.
