error message popped up saying my computer is infected and may be at risk!!! with a number to call for tech support. unfortunately I did call and was told that it was Microsoft tech support and they told me that I my computer was infected and that they could help remotely for a substantial fee (499.99). by that time my son who was listening was feeling uncomfortable and told me that it sounds like a scam and he called the "real" Microsoft tech support to confirm his suspicions (which they did) and at that time I severed all communications with the so called tech support. thankfully not giving up any info!
