Three years ago I used a free service to help me with my Medicare decisions. The contact person was Adriana *** Her email was: [email protected], and her phone # was *** ***. She helped me find a supplement plan and prescription plan for my husband and me. There was no fee and all Adriana asked was that I refer others to her. I unsubscribed to the service and had not heard anything from them for 3 years. Then just a few months ago I started to receive emails with Adriana's name and her medicare email address saying I had an open invoice that needed to be paid. It also said to delete if I received it in error so I did. However I have received several more and the last one said I owed over $1000.00 dollars. Luckily I had saved a few of my emails from 2015 and noted that the phone numbers were different. I tried to call the number for Adriana from 2015 but could not reach her. I wanted her to know someone was using her name in a scam. I have never opened or downloaded the invoice because I was afraid it would give them some kind of access to my computer. I will send any other correspondence or emails I receive. Also note that the scammer never used my name when addressing the notes. One says Hi,( then blank) the other says Dear, (then blank). Adriana's emails in 2015 always referred to me personally by name, but as I go back into my records from 2015, I realize that Adriana *** has our social security numbers also as she helped fill out insurance forms for Aetna. I hope you can get to the bottom of this before something bad happens to our accounts. Thank you
