I reached out to the Ad in Facebook for adopting a puppy. I began a chat with a supposable Trevor, and he informed of of the dogs price and travel cost . The cost was 500 and delivery fee of 84$ . The deposit was of 250.00$ . Before I sent any money I asked that I be texted from the number that was receiving deposits . I received a text and I replied and I was replied to . The guy was very well mannered in the beginning. I asked for additional pictures of the puppy and what vaccines and chip was already done. Than the following day he texted me that the dog needed a special crate to travel. That the vet informed him that the puppy needed a electronic temperature crate for flying and that it was prescribed. I asked him to call me and he told me he was working but could text me. I told him I did not understand why the vet would prescribe a crate . I needed to see the documents from the vet. By than I had sent a 250 deposit and the 84$ travel fee via Apple Pay. He than got argumentative because I kept questioning the accuracy of his story . I made him aware that what he was saying was very scam like and he said he was not a “scam [censored]” I had than called him and the phone went to voicemail but a google phone. I called the other number that he gave me when I made the deposit and a woman answered and reassured me that the puppy was fine and that her boyfriend was the one who handled the business and she would give him my message and call me back. Which left me confused cause she sounded polite and honest. Than I got a message from Trevor saying he didn’t want problems and that he would send me my money back. That never happened . They blocked me from being able to reach out to them I called and text and nothing. I went on to Facebook reported the conversation for review on scam.
