Job opening was listed on Indeed/Ziprecruiter for a “Private Driver” position. Scammer then contacted target through email and introduced “herself” as an entrepreneur from Norway overseas. Scammer then provided a fake story about planning an arrival to the USA for the first time hence “needing” a personal driver. Eventually scammer contacts target through a private number registered in the US and pressures target to deposit a mailed check with further instructions awaiting.
