- Crestline, OH, USA

Initially I got a Facebook message from my cousin telling me she got a $100,000 grant after paying $2000, and I should text 608-478-7370 for more information. I texted a woman calling herself Brenda Collard. She says she is a 70 year old grandmother who likes to spend her remaining time with her grandchildren. She says she knows how it feels to get scammed, and get ripped off with hard earning money or sweat. She says she doesn't like the word scam, and asks me to believe her because she knows and this is not a scam, she just doesn't want me to miss this privilege, and she know how much the money would mean to me, and she is a God fearing woman and God says sorrow shall come to the wicked, but trust her as she trusts in the Lord, and I will give testimony by the time I receive my winning money. She said I'd won an $80,000 grant from the Administration of Federal Assistance. She said I would need to pay $1500 to pay the fees get the money within 48 hours. I took out a personal loan from the bank to buy the cards. I told the bank I was paying off cards. I bought three Sephora cards for $500 each. I was told to buy them at different stores. I bought them at the Rite Aids in Shelby and Crestville. I was told to take pictures of the cards, front and back, and the reciepts. I also sent them a picture of my state ID front and back. Now they are texting me saying I need to pay $5500 to get my briefcase/moneybox unlocked. The text says the briefcase cannot open until I get the personal unblocking code. They sent a picture of a steel moneybox. I said the briefcase and 45500 was never mentioned before. And they responded well that's the only way to open it up. It says I am to keep this strictly confidential. This is the last payment I am going to send to them and it will be opened once the money is paid. The grammar is terrible. Some of the messages I was getting looked like they were from my cousin. I called my cousin who told me she didn't have a cell phone. So, I asked for my money back but they said they couldn't as the money is locked up.
