Type of a scam Rental

Same scenario as others have mentioned. Scam accepting deposits and then closed.

Spoke with person on phone in December of 2024. They accepted my deposit through the webpage and confirmed the booking. After a month I went to add an additional rider and the website says they are closed. I received no notice and the phone number is now disabled. I called a connected business (Bird's Marine) who stated they have not been there for over 2 years. Scammers... Business owner is listed as John Tim Kane.

In October 2024 - I paid a deposit for a snowmobiling rental date in January 2025 - some of my buddies were also going to join. In December 2024 when one of my friends went to register - he received a message was a message on their website stating the company is closed for the season. I was never informed about the company’s closure and my deposit was not refunded. They accepted deposits from people and then closed for the season with zero notification or callback. This company is running a FRAUDULENT BUSINESS. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM!
