Address Change Support Reports & Reviews (2)

I went to the USPS website to put in a change of address. The site looked legitimate as I've used it before. I filled out the required information - name, address, credit card number, and hit send. The $1 fee was never billed, but instead there was a debit for 99.75 on my bank statement from addresschangesupport.com. I immediately called the 800 number and spoke with someone (with an accent) who assured me it was a legitimate fee and they had already processed the changes and notifications. She offered a 50% refund but when I threatened a call to our state attorney general's office she quickly offered a full refund if I didn't call the AG or dispute it with my bank. I know I'm not likely to get it back but it was worth a try!

I googled "usps change of address" so that I could forward my mail to my new address because I'm moving. This website came up first on google and I clicked on it thinking that it was the USPS. I filled out all of my information (including my old and new addresses) and then when it got to payment, it was trying to make me pay $60 for this service, when I knew it was only about $1 from the actual USPS. I clicked "cancel order" because I didn't want to pay that much, and then it offered me "cheaper" options. I kept clicking cancel, and then it offered me an option for $3.95, which included services such as moving help, free 24/7 doctor phone calls, and being added to the scam do-not-call list. I chose this option and checked out. I noticed in my confirmation email that it said that I enrolled in some "shopping membership" that would charge me a "one-time fee of $60" in one month from now, and it said to call the number to cancel. Right before I called, I googled it and realized that this was a scam. I called them and asked for a refund and for my order to be cancelled, and she told me she could only give me a 50% refund because she had already enrolled me in the do-not-call list and other services. But then she said that she could enroll me in those services for just $19.99, and I told her to not do that. I said that I didn't want these services, and I didn't want to be enrolled in anything. I just wanted a full refund and for my entire order to be cancelled. I had to be very direct and say this multiple times for her to listen! Finally she said she would give me the full refund, but she clearly did not want to.
