Person called my cell phone and identified themselves as a member of the Ada County Sheriff's Office who was contacting me for failure to appear for jury duty. The person knew my name and current address and requested more than one thousand dollars in payment to temporarily remove the warrant that was pending against me.

Scammer claimed to be from the Ada County Sheriff's Office saying that I had 2 misdemeanor citations for failure to appear and contempt of court. They had an old address that I lived at and claimed that someone had signed my name to show that I had supposedly received the summons. I asked to hang up and call the sheriff's office to verify it wasn't a scam back he refused and said that if I hung up they would issue a warrant for my arrest. He did transfer me to another number that according to caller id was from the Ada County Sheriff's Office. He wanted me to send a $5100 payment.
