Steve posted an add on Craigslist under the business name A.C.T.S Solutions and offered employment to myself and 3 others. Included employment contracts, offered insurance, bonuses, laptops and cellphones. When questioned by us about not being able to find his business online he claimed it was in the process of filing because his previous business STAC Security was being dissolved due to his former business partners untimely death. He had all of us working mon-Friday calling contractors from our personal cell phones using our personal laptops and cellphones for emailing to bid on a $26 million job for the MetroLink stations spanning from la to San Diego under the pretense that he was the consultant for this job. As the days went on and our laptops never came there were multiple excuses everything from he had cancer treatments to he lost his wallet. When he lost his wallet he started asking us to put up our credit cards for the conference rooms and other expenses and had us buying him cigarettes and coffee. He even fraudulently paid one of our credit cards with an account that he "accidentally" put the wrong number on and as a result the payment reversed and she is now extremely over her cc limit. As payday approached he claimed he could no longer use the payroll system he currently had and acted as if he was surprised and stressed that he would have to find a new payroll company within a day to make sure payroll was processed. We were working out of hotel conference rooms as he also stated that the new office in Palm Springs was under renovation and would not be ready for a couple of weeks. We started looking into the business and were not able to find any truth to his statements. The new office address was non existent, the former business address was an apartment building and further research concluded that there had been others scammed by him in the very recent past. When he found out we were all skeptical he started avoiding us and making more excuses. It also turns out that his British accent is a fraud and he has never even been to England. When payday came about he claimed our checks were being sent fed ex and would be here by 4 pm and his assistant would get them to us. At 3:30 he offered partial cash to me and claimed once he received my check he would give me the rest and the check stub. He still owes everyone else for the first pay period and we are all still owed for the last week we worked as we have all now resigned and with no response from him whatsoever. I have found through searching that he has done this to others and even knowingly written checks from a closed STAC Security chase account in the amount exceeding $500. Another man stated he worked for weeks under the same or similar circumstances and was given the same excuses for payroll and basic shut up money for just a couple of hundred dollars like he has tried with us. He also claims to have a daughter in private school when she attends a public school. Just so everyone is aware he is a big big man with blue eyes, chain smokes Marlboro lights and has a thing for Michael Kors ties. I believe the job we were all getting bids for was a front to get us to believe that no one would work that hard for no reason and to make us think he was legit and then start to get money out of us for pity that he was sick, or his wallet was missing and all with the promises he would pay us extra in the end. He even offered two of us an additional $1000 ea if we were able to complete one of the tasks by weeks end. Based on conversations I feel his next scamming business name will be "what the fiber". He claims all
