I uploaded my resume to Indeed.com and was contacted by email on February 14, 2022 and was offered an interview for a work from home job. I was instructed to download the Telegram app for communication. I was put in contact with a person by the name of Asaf Gez whom conducted my "interview" (very generic questions) and I was then offered a position of a Data Entry Representative. A "letter of employment" was to be emailed to me along with a W-4 form, I haven't gotten that. But I did receive a check in the amount of $5,150.00 overnighted to me via FedEx to purchase a laptop, printer, scanner, time tracker and computer software from one of the company's "vendors". This person was very persistent in messaging me wanting to know if I had received the check and wanted a picture of the check. Then wanted me to go deposit the check into my account via ATM since it was the evening and the banks were closed. I refused to make that deposit and told him I would be having the check and the company verified before proceeding in any way. I haven't heard back from him. At this point the only information that they have gotten from me is my name, address and cell phone number.
