I have been looking for remote positions lately due to COVID. A supposed representative of Cyclo Therapeutics, Inc., named Kate Williams in our conversations, sent me an email at 5am yesterday (11/12/20) saying I had an interview later that morning at 9am for a virtual assistant/data entry position over Google Hangouts. I missed the appointment but was able to talk with them over Hangouts. We only chatted over text on Hangouts, I did not see anyone's face. The pay they were offering was suspiciously high for this position, and they said I was hired after an hour long conversation. They asked if I had a bunch of office equipment, which I dont have, and they said I'd have to buy it so I figured it was a scam. I double-checked by calling the phone number on Cyclo Therapeutics' website and they confirmed that they were not hiring for this position and had received multiple similar calls all week.
