Received an email with an invoice # claiming I owed $249.99 due the same day as the email for internet security services. I called the phone # given to dispute the "bill" and was told by 2 different people I had signed up for a "free trial" period of service but now had to pay as trial period was over. Both told me I had to install an "app" on my phone in order to cancel the service I never requested or used.

okay so long story short my dad got an email from what appeared to be the geek squad for best buy. the email was referring to a warenty that needed renewed. he called the phone # and then they had him download a remote desktop service and also do something with norton ... eventually they had him log into his online banking and somehow applied for an easy access loan for 5,000 that he was instantly approved for thru my dads credit union he has used for 40 years. then they told him they as a company accidently sent him $5,000 he now needed to pay back. long story short they tried to get him to send the money a few different ways and it didnt work because my dad doesnt have things set up to pay online he even signed up for online banking w that jerk on remote desktop. when the man was still on the phone with dad and wasnt getting the results he wanted got mean and kept jumbling the conversation to confuse my dad had him intructed to go purchase $5,000 worth of i tunes cards and send him the codes via email. my mom and i heard the conversation and when my dad ended the call the person called his and my moms phones repetidly for about an hour from a couple #s. we have contacted the bank and found out they did the loan and thank goodness we got the accounts frozen and info changed so that the money did not actually get stolen but now we are told by the bank to contact all accounts and make sure there credit cards social security ect has not been messed with because the account they got into had all those payments going into it.. i have screenshots of all open tabs in google the email address initial email was sent from and all supporting documents upon request
