I received a computer notification that my ipad had been hacked and immediately call AppleCare at 855-500-0461. I was told I was one of 1700 people who had been hacked and my data, financial information etc was at high risk. I called the number and they had me buy an itunes card and provide them with the number on the back. I was then transferred to the 'security area' where they tried to get me to buy Apple Care package for 5 years or for lifetime security support for $500-800. They told me my IP address was hacked by Russian hackers and all devices in my home were infected. The package would install software that would reduce/eliminate the ability for my system to be hacked again. I told them I was very uncomfortable with this, put them on hold called a friend to talk it through. While i was talking with my friend, the 'security team member' disconnected the call and did not call back. The value of the itunes card was not there when I went to upload the value.
