Erin Hart, Account Manager for a company she identifies simply as "Energy" urges me to phone her at 1-800-684-2949 ext. 123. She says my "low fixed rate" has expired, meaning that I am now on a "high-variable rate" and that is why my bills are going up and up. She emphatically says that my "bills are way to high" and I need to call fix the problem.

To me, this may be a legitimate alternative energy supplier, but the approach is fraudulent and clearly desiged to suck in a vulnerable by scaring them.

I did not respond to the call, so do not know what the potential consequences may have been.
