So disappointing

After sending a proposal for a proofreading position through Upwork, I was contacted by Dennis Rose. They sent me to a skype account to discuss the job more with Lucy Stonehill. Once I answered some questions and clarified the work I would be doing, I was sent over to a Ryan Brooke, again through Skype. Ryan wanted me to start work immediately and wanted my physical mailing address (red flag). However, they were not pushing through the contract on Upwork. I asked them to send over the Upwork contract with verified payment, and then I could start working on their project. I have not heard from them since. I found this page and realized it was all a scam. So much time and effort were lost. So embarrassing.

I was contacted by Dennis Rose for a proofreading job after sending a proposal through Upwork. He sent me a link to skype to speak with Lucy Stonehill and Ryan Brooke. They asked for my physical address, which sent up a red flag. They also did not move further with the contract in Upwork but wanted me to start work immediately. I asked them to offer me the contract through Upwork, and we will proceed. I have not heard from them since.

Definitely A Scam - Accio Logistics - Upwork

Watch out for this one. Came across them on the employment platform Upwork, applied to a posting they had.

They connect with you on Skype, have Stock images as Skype photographs. They will discuss a 3-day training and even send a pretty legit looking contract.

However, the people and names do not exist, they have no online presence aside from a website, no customer reviews, fake names, cannot give examples of the work you will end up doing. Both "people" I was put in touch with were clearly the same person as their Skype activity was mirrored. Incredibly shady and well thought-out scam.

As soon as I asked them about the legitimacy of their operation and asked about stock images etc. they went completely radio silent.
