On June 21, 2017, I received a voicemail stating that I needed to return a phone call immediately regarding a debt or legal action will be taken against me. The phone number was 8553747194 so I called back to see what this was about. A female by the name Trina whom I spoke with states to me that I had a outstanding debt from 2006 and that I never paid it.So I asked her who's the creditor and amount. She was not able to give me any concrete answers she was fast talking and mention that my account was sent to Riverside Financial. So I asked her who is Riverside Financial and she was agitated that I asked her and she said her client. I said to her that I do not recall any debt that I owed on a payday loan nor have I received any payday loan. Then she stated that she has my personal info such as work location,address,ss#,email and banking information. So she abruptly said how do you want to handle this. I said can you send me a validation letter with the creditor name and amount that I owe because I dont recall any of this. She said no she does not have any validation letter because I have not paid anything. She stated that I needed to pay first and then a email will be sent to me to e-sign stating the account is paid in full and then I will receive a letter. So I asked her how much i owed she said $490.00 or she could do a settlement for $301.00. She was so convincing.For that reason, I gave her my debit card and current address . The arrangement was made to debit 2 payments one $250.00 on 6/30 and $240.00 on 7/14. Then before the call ended she said that they don't call to remind you and to make sure you keep the arrangement to avoid court. All in all, I cancelled my debit card and realize this is a scam.
