I purchased a Cockapoo puppy from Abby’s Cockapoo Puppies in December as a surprise to my family for the holidays. I paid for the puppy via Vemno. On the day of the scheduled pick up, the puppy who was traveling to me with an escort via plane was having breathing issues due to being shipped in an incorrect crate. The dog was dying and I was to be held personally liable, so the breeder threatened. Unless I sent additional amount of money to the escort working with the shipping company (also a scam company), which would be refundable I was promised. Long and behold, the dog does not exist, it never did. I was scammed. Unfortunately sending money through Venmo was the worst thing I could have done as Venmo has no insurances to assist you in this matter. I was able to confirm that the bank the money was transferred to was a TD Bank in the US - my only hope for getting that money back at this point. Almost a month later, and the Scammer is still texting me playing along blaming their actions on an illness in the family and physical disability as the reason to steal my money.
