Finally opened my online store and was excited for my first customer really big purchase. Customer claimed this was a shipping company that they wanted to use, but only had aol email address for the shipping company no web page or business number, and wanted me to wire money sent for the shipping cost to this company immediately. I began receiving phone calls from different google numbers that had different area codes and with different voices saying they were the customer and a few claiming to be the shipping company and to wire all the money needed for shipping immediately. Luckily my merchant processor had held the funds due to first purchase so I wasn't able to access the funds, start on the order, or wire the money at that time, or I would have due to the excitement of the order amount and my business finally taking off. Once I emailed the the customer of the high risk and scam calls that were flagged they no longer have tried to contact me. I will also be reporting the email address from customer as well.
