A call came up on my phone, identified on caller Id as my Mom, so I answered. On the line was a man who told me I was being recorded and asked if I could hear him. I responded "yes" thinking my mom was in the hospital or something, since the call showed her info. The caller started talking about veterans' affairs and I realized I had been scammed. I immediately hung up and called my mom. She said she was calling, but just received a busy tone. I called my carrier and they said there wasn't anything they could do. I don't know yet what the damage will be.
