these specific calls started this past January 2017 and have continued to this very day. The calls come in batches of three (3) calls at a time, several minutes apart, when we do not answer the phone. Often the calls amount to between 3 – 6 – 9 calls per day. The modus-operandi tends to consist of a female caller, with an occasional male caller, with a scripted dialog meant to evoke a “yes” response to the called-party victim. Scripted as follows: “Hi, this is Brooke calling from TripAdvisor on a recorded line. Can you hear me okay??” The calling voices appear to be uniformly delivered as if using a pre-recorded pitch. There does not appear to being any distinctive regional or ethnic speech pattern or dialect. A COMPLETE LIST OF THE CALLING-PARTY NUMBERS IS INCLUDED BELOW. THESE ARE MOSTLY NON-WORKING NUMBERS BELONGING TO VERIZON WIRELESS (VZW); WE HAVE CONTACTED THE SENIOR LEGAL COUNSEL OF THE *REAL* TRIPADVISOR (Bradley Young), HE IS AWARE OF THIS SCAM AND HAS HAD CONTACT WITH A REGULATORY OFFICIAL AT THE FCC-HQ HERE IN DC. BTW, IF YOU BLOCK ANY OF THE CALLING NUMBERS, THEY SIMPLY CONTINUE TO CALL YOU FROM ANOTHER NUMBER. (Note: I am a retired Verizon landline employee/pensioner and am familiar with the regulations governing abusive calls. I have also notified the wireless carrier's Executive Offices about this issue, since the spammers are using the carrier's unassigned phone numbers to spoof these calls.)

Most calls employed mirroring to emulate originating from a Northern Virginia or Tidewater Virginia telephone number. The VZW exchanges most frequently used are: 703-664; 703-454; 703-594; 703-596.
