On August 8th, 2024 I visited Foods Co on Northgate Blvd in Sacramento to do regular grocery shopping. There was a lot of people there at the store. I went to use my card at the register, and I was having trouble inserting my card so the cashier came over to help me. The next day on August 9th, 2024 I noticed that my account had had $385 taken out of my account at an ATM on 400 El Camino Ave Sacramento, CA 95815 inside Kings Supermarket. No one but myself has access to my cards or bank accounts so there is no way a family member or friend took that money out. The last time I had used my card was at the Foods Co the day prior. I believe that there was a card reader on the check out at Foods Co that someone must have used to get access to my money at an ATM. I have filed claims against my bank (Cash App), Foods Co, and Kings Supermarket through the BBB. None of the companies besides Cash App has responded or taken fault. The issue was not with Cash App but it was with Foods Co who had the card reader and then Kings Market who does not have any working cameras at all inside the store. I believe this is a bigger issue than it just affecting myself. On 10/8/24, I was speaking with other customers about my experience and there was a different person in there that stated this also happened to their mother around the same time in August but they did not know what to do in this situation. They are taking advantage of the fact that people do not know what to do in this situation and are doing these things. Foods Co and Kings Supermarket will continue doing these scams if no one does anything about it or investigates them.
