Lady called first from local number, and gave me a number claiming she was from Equity Capital Group and gave a me a number to call and a reference number. So, i made the call and a guy answered saying I had an over-drafted account with Wells Fargo from 2008-2015 with over drafts fees totaling more than $2500.00. Let me know they were filling a civil suit against me but it could be resolved if i paid them a lump sum, and continued payments. Told me they sent me a letter in October 2024 informing me of this settlement offer i told him i never got the letter, he even had my real address. He got really mad when i told i could not pay today. I let him know i was going to research, because it was not on my credit report. He tried to tell me it wouldn't be there until the civil judgement and tried to scare me by saying it would be on my credit for ten years. What a thug, sounded very legit at first.

Claimed they were a legal firm to collect a debt stating that I need to pay for a payday advance loan. They used my name the last 4 of my social and my address. Claimed they needed to send legal documents and the reference number for the claim was ******. They number they originally called from was 919 246 5813, 919 245-5197. They also stated they needed to send documents to my address to sign and they were calling to make sure I would be there to sign the documents. I do not have a payday loan and if I need one I would get it from my bank.
