called and asked if i would like to lower my interest rate, and how much all of my credit cards debt was, when I said about $800, he hung up. I called the number back and it was like a regular Capital one phone taking the card number to talk to someone- so then they had the number, but then they also knew they were found out.

Call received at approx 1:10 1/30/24 couldn’t understand too well ( heavy Indian accent) but knew it was not a legitimate call from Capital One - - I immediately stated for this individual to remove my name and number and not call here again

I got a call on my mobile phone from this number 888-464-0727 (shows Capital One). The person on the line had an India accent and told me that due to my great credit and payment history Capital One was going to lower my credit card rate to 6% and he asked for the expiration date on my credit card to verify they had the correct card after telling me the last 4 digits of my card. He then passed the phone to his so called manager and he asked me for my complete card card number to verify they had the correct card to lower the rate. I told him i wasn't interested and hung up. I looked up the phone number i received the call from (888-464-0727) on google and it took me to the website page https://www.capitalone.com/help-center/fraud-disputes/report-debit-card-fraud/ that shows as Capital One Debit Fraud webpage with this number as the fraud department. I believe this is a fraud because in don't think Capital One would ask for your complete credit card number over the phone and secondly i don't have a capital one card.

Called and stated from Capital one. I noted did not co.e up as that on phone ID. Wanted me to get a new CC or a balance transfer. Discussed good payment history & credit score. I noted had never been contacted by them in last 4 yrs of having a CC from

their company. Could/would not take me off solicitation list. When spoke to 2nd person when asked for supervisor was hung up on. Spoke to my CC company after & stated they dont solicit like that. I anyway changed solicitation for my CC. Called them back and again given runaround.

I received a call that showed up as "Capital One" from a Capital One phone number on my caller ID. I was told they were calling on behalf of Visa since Visa is a major creditor of Capital One and they wanted to offer lowering my interest rate since I pay my payments on time. They had my name and they knew what my last payment on my credit card was as well as my credit score. They asked for my birthdate and last 4 of my SS number as well as my credit card number.

I was then transferred to a "supervisor" to move forward with the transaction. This person asked if I had other credit card debt. At this point I hung up. They immediately called me back, but from a different number. I ended the call and immediately reported the incident to Capital One.
