my wife noticed about a year ago our electric bill went up signifcantly but we had just installled a pool so we thought the increase was due to the pool pump in use
well we since then took the pool down and its been down for about 2 months and she checked the bill and our regular bill from aep was correct but it says at the bottm of the bill it says $87.00 billed to Energy Harbor Llc. Who the hell is Enrgy Harbor llc?
so she called AEP 1st thing rep said was "let me guess your from Ohio right " she said yes howd you know she stated they have been getting complaints fom ohio about this issue
My wife asked why did aep allow this to happen she said state of ohio passed a bill that energy companys can automatically enroll people for services without there approval or knowledge and just send them an opt out letter if you dont opt out you get billed she said how do i opt out of something i had know knowledge i was enrolled in to begin with she said you have to call them and im sorry
so she called them and asked why they did this automatically enrolled me into somthing and not tell me no letter no email and just start billing me ? she said we sent you an opt out letter she said i never knew i was enrolled to out out and i want this cancelled immediatly and a refund and a conformation and email to verify its cancelled she said we dont do refunds but heres a conformation number we are doing rsearch and plan to join a class action suit they have done this before and settled out of court and doing it agai
so please check you electric bill and look for the name ENERGY HARBOR LLC.
