Scammer called saying they were with "Student Services" because my son had requested additional preparation materials (which he had not). I paid by credit card and they said they would send a CD. I said I don't have a means of playing a CD because people stopped using those 15 years ago. They agreed to send a flash drive. They sent a CD anyway. I sent it back a few weeks later and still have not received a refund. Made multiple phone calls and missed them each time. They only have an answering machine. They called back and I missed them. They still haven't refunded me despite confirmation they received the materials back. I disputed with my CC company.

I was contacted about my son and his school. They stated they had college SAT prep material that they needed to send and a refundable $250 deposit was needed and would be credited back when the material was returned. I returned the material immediately and have contacted them about the credit. They said they would credit my account and it has never happened.

I was called by someone named CHAD, from a local number, informing me that my daughter had requested SAT prep materials. He provided her name and school. He stated that he needed to place a hold to ensure the materials were returned within 30 day and that the money would not be charged if that was satisfied. When he processed my credit card, he stated there was something wrong and that I needed to check my email, then asked for the info again and stated it was his fault, that he'd entered the wrong expiration date and that I needed to confirm the charge with my credit card company, which I did. I received what appeared to be counterfeit test prep materials. Also, the paperwork included was suspicious and did not have any website or email address. Also, the company on the return address did not match the company listed on the mailing address on the enclosed paperwork. I called to request a return and was met with a generic voicemail with very little information other than a repeat of what was on the enclosed paperwork. I checked my credit card and found the charge had been processed, opposite of what I was told on the phone. I called my credit card company immediately to file a dispute and after that, I received a call within an hour that showed no caller ID. It was the company asking me, in an agitated and rude manner, why I wanted to return the materials and why I filed a dispute. They stated it was a "conditional" charge and I would be refunded after the materials were received. I sent them back the next day to the address provided and am waiting for the package to be delivered to see if I get a refund.
