They will text you first from a strange number telling you to call them at 866-697-1988 with a case number. They try to get you to pay a bill that was never yours and want to steal your money and identity. They will not give you their name or company they work for and then threaten me with the sheriff.

FAKE PROCESS SERVERS

The caller(s) from this phone number claim to be named "Tarrant County Process and Serve Department." They are a fake, fraudulent, made-up, harassing so-called debt agency pretending to be process server and pretending to serve you with papers at your home, place of employment, etc. They give no names whatsoever, are very rude (which is highly indicative of a scam) and they only provide a case number and a phone number that has been listed hundreds of times as being a scam number line. They harass by calling your phone over and over every single day and night, they look-up distant relatives on Google (they continue to call my ex-husband whom I've been divorced from for over 16 years) and they are just awful and must be stopped ESPECIALLY since they are impersonating county process servers.

Scammer said there was a lawsuit from GE Banks to recoup money owed by me on a credit card. Gave me a file #2023-302579 but not his name. Looked the number up and found the Florida # and business.
