She called stating that a process server had been trying to serve papers and we were to call Allison Clark @877-348-5594. We called the number and we were given to a gentleman named Bryan Richardson of Legal Aid. He stated that I had an outstanding Citibank balance of $3986 but with court costs it would be $9200. I stated that we didn't have a Citibank card - ever but questioned from when and he said 2006. We were not in the country at that time and all of our bills were paid off before leaving the country. He then said they were just able to find we had assets to put liens on yet we always had assets. I told them they are unable to take us to court since we were never notified of this 'outstanding balance"; he then said they had sent a letter a few weeks ago, I asked him to what address & he gave our address, yet I told him he can't put a lien on a house if there is no record of the debt on the Credit Reports, no proof that it was ours to begin with, and until he sent it Certified Return Receipt Requested he can't say that they notified us if we haven't received it to begin with. He then asked me what do you want us to do and I told him to send this "Good Faith Letter" again & to make sure it was sent Certified Return Receipt Requested and he said fine and hung up.
