I hired a moving company under the name of Interstate and Rail for a move on Sunday, June 2nd. I made the final payment via credit card and confirmed the payment was charged to my card. I have now received two phone calls (one from a FL phone number of 239-373-9466 and one from a CT phone number of 860-833-3132), attempting to request additional personal information stating that they need it to process the payment. The FL number called me at 10 PM and he kept trying to get me to provide information in response to an email he was going to send, saying they weren't going to charge me again, but that they needed it to process the payment. I gave no information to this individual and advised that if they were a reputable company, they would call during normal business hours. The second individual, calling from the CT number started to text me after I did not answer the phone. This individual said they need a credit card form to be filled out and that it w[censored]ding up delivery. I advised that i do not have any move scheduled with any company as I looked up the phone number and it is showing tied to a company called Platinum Moving Group. He then said he was from Interstate and Rail (which was the company we did hire), but he said that he was delivering our move to PA. As our move was completed on Sunday and already paid for, I advised I would not be providing any personal information and asked that they not contact me again. He advised that he didn't care who I contacted and that because I didn't fill out a form, there was no proof of my payment to them. I advised that my card was charged and he confirmed that, but said that without the form the payment means nothing to them. I have already cancelled the credit card in question, but want to report this incident and what appears to an attempt to scam personal information from me to charge more money to my credit card. I can provide a copy of the text chain if needed.
