I had contacted customer service for venmo. I had done this many times because I have not been able to use my venmo account. Today when I contacted them the gentleman informed me that there were pending charges from somebody trying to use my account. They were going to buy corn bit at $500 a piece. So they were trying to identify me they were having me download different things. The guy even gave me his phone number in case we got disconnected. Which we did and I called him back. All of a sudden I get transferred to somebody else with no knowledge and the guy tells me he is from fraud he's going to help me. I don't have a real ID so he needed to have me verify that he put a dollar into my account. Which I was not able to because I do not have our account downloaded into my phone or tablet. When he started wanting me to go to town and purchase something and give him the number off the back I realized something was wrong.. they are running a scam and working together. I contacted my bank a couple times they said there was never anything pending but on their end they said it was. I deleted my venmo account and taken all precautions to make sure $1,000 does not come out of my checking account. They also managed to get me to give them my social security number.

Anybody who uses venmo beware. They have crooked employees
