The scammer called my mom, her ex brother in law, and my husband (her son in law) claiming there was a case she has failed twice to appear for. Case number 2023 836106. No mention of County, location, or reason. They asked her to call 8556998799 to provide more information. Upon calling them myself, they identified themselves as Belmore and associates Law firm. Without even knowing who I was calling about, they just told me my mother had a credit card bill of more than $10,000 she was being sued for and would go to jail if we didn’t pay $5,000 today and they needed my mothers name, date of birth, and social. I refused and told them they were a scam and they began to scream and threatened me with jail. I told them, in colorful words, they were scammers and liars and to never call again. The whole time they never even knew who I was even calling about. I have copies of their scam voicemails they leave. They are all identical. They told me they’re based out of Los Angeles after I googled the company name and said they’re based out of Belize.

They originally called from 210-960-0801 claiming they had a case number for my mom for failure to appear and wanted me to pass on the information. They gave a 855 number so i called it and refused to give them information so they got mad and read me the last 4 of my social and my current address and said theyll just send the sheriffs to my house then tl serve me instead.
