On Friday 12.16.22 at 2:36p I rec'd a text from 806-603-3829 which reads: Chase Did you attempt a $8500 wire on 12/16 Reply yes or NO. msg & data rates may apply. At 2:36p I replied no. At 2:43 I rec'd a call from 800-935-9935, Chase Customer Care Center, the caller introduced himself as "fraud department" asking if I had authorized the wire transfer of $8500, and I said no. I was on the phone for one hour and 47 minutes while they asked me to prove my identity. At 2:46p I got a text reply: "Free msg JP Morgan Chase Bank Alert New User ID: Starlife4114 New User Pw: Marathon01 Reply with Old Credentials For Deactivation. At 2:47p I replied with my user name and password. At 2:53p, $8500 was withdrawn from my checking account. I found this out later in the evening when I checked my account. I went in the next morning to Chase @**** ********* *** ******* ** ***** to report the fraud and close the acct.. They "escalated" it and Chase is declining to put the funds back into the account. They tried the next day to wire another $3500. Chase should have done a swift reversal of the wire transfer, but failed to do so until 1.17.23, had they done it on 12.17.22, the money would have been returned. Chase said they received facial recognition and voice approval from me, but they did not. I want the money back and a signed copy of the wire transfer with bank manager signature, and proof of the authorization. The money went to D***** H******y's Wells Fargo acct in FL, and they have reported there are no funds available.
