My wife received 2 texts about help with access codes from Ally then about an hour later received 2 more related to Bank of America

I also received a voicemail, no texts related to this on my phone at approximately the same time.

We didn’t respond.

I received a call from a number that displayed "Bank of America" 8009336262 on my caller ID. The caller claimed my account was compromised and asked me to provide two codes to prevent unauthorized transactions via Zelle totaling nearly $3,000. I declined as I had no pending transactions with Bank of America and it seemed illogical that they would close my account due to a potential hack. especially when they ask me to provide codes and If they close the phone the money will go a way.

Scammer called claiming they are from Bank of America and trying to get information and stating that someone called Bank of America and was changing my address to Miami. It was all scam. I called my bank and they said it was a scam

Received 2 VM from Bank of America automated message saying they were trying to help me with requested authorization code. If I didn’t request code, call the 800 number. I called and got another BOA automated message that they were sending me another authorization code. I saw a banner at the top of my iPhone with the code and clicked it. I was taken to the BOA login screen where you request a text message for the authorization code. That’s when i became skeptical, hung up on the call and closed the browser. Then I googled the 800 number and read about the scam.

I received 3 successive calls and messages through my phone telling me that I had requested for a security code for my Bank of America account and, if this wasn't me who requested, to call (800) 933-6262. I know this was a scam because I don't have a Bank of America account. Therefore, I didn't even bother to call the number. Instead, I checked the internet about the number and found that this number is being used by scammers as reported.
