We received a box in the mail from this company. The return address is as follows: PETE LAWLESS (800) 219-7790 Inland Empire IND SPLS INC /12741 Magnolia AVE/ Riverside CA 92503. This package was addressed to my husband who has never ordered or bought anything from them. We did not open the box, so we don't know what's inside, but it's pretty heavy. We looked up this company and found many complaints across the web of people saying it's a scam and that they will send a box of items along with an invoice saying that you owe them money for the items and if you don't pay, they'll threaten legal action. My husband also received a call from a strange number he didn't recognize and are pretty sure it must be connected to this. We are planning to return the unopened box to sender and will ignore any phone calls, texts, emails from these people, but we are worried that they will continue to harass us and accuse of us of not paying for these items which we never ordered. Please do something to shut down this company's shady business practices. This Pete Lawless guy even has a LinkedIn profile, but I'm sure he's a fake person that the actual people behind all this are using as a decoy. This company is quite predatory and legal action needs to be taken against them. I believe they target people (typically men) with blue collar type jobs who order lots of parts from reputable companies. Perhaps they have hacked into their databases to find targets such as my husband.

They send me some drill bids and some gloves and glasses that I did not order. In the invoice it states that i owe them $ 499.90. I called the 800 219 7790 number and spoke to a woman called, Liz. And she stated that I spoke to a sells man and placed the order. I told her i never even heard of this company neither I have use for this tools.

Caller made it sound like a 30 day free trial. They have agreed to provide an RMA number for return of product but will not pay shipping.

Got a letter in the mail stating that they have account records with my name and address stating I have a past due balance of $527.40. Contacted the company on the phone and they argued with me that someone must have ordered from them and that a package was delivered to my house. A package of drill bits is what was supposedly ordered and delivered. No package has ever been received at my house and no one in my home has ever ordered from this company. No one in my household has ever heard of this company. Accounts payable supervisor states all orders are recorded and double confirmed prior to sending out a package. When asked to hear the recording she stated she can not get that for me. She states all packages are sent UPS and that she will track the order with UPS and get back to me and hung up.

They call and offer you free tools and want to ship it over to you, they ship out very very cheap tools that are worth $20 the most and they also have a bill for $499.90. They have a 30 day return policy and I called them many times saying I want to return the stuff and they say a sales associate will call me to help me return my product but they never call back. By the time 30 days pass they say pay my $500 or they’ll send it to collections and screw my business over. I looked up their company and hundreds of people have also been scammed by them

We did not open the box that included an invoice. We rejected the package. The target was my 81 year old family member.

Merchandise was not worth the price so I was going to return it and they will not accept it back. It was not open or used. They did not send the batteries to run the merchandise.

Tony Patraglia;

Mr. Johnson, I contacted your company prior to my 30-day trial being up and requested a mailing label to return the items. I was told I would have to pay for shipping. I never asked for the items and I will not pay for shipping!

In addition, your sales representative gave false and misleading information! He said your company was mailing me some samples of your products for free which I agreed to. He said he also wanted to send me some drill bits valued at $800 for a 30-day free trial and if I decided to keep them, I would only pay half price of $400. This was false and misleading information!

When the drill bits arrived, there was an invoice for $499.00! Also I had the same drill bits that I had purchased from Amazon for less than $100, not $800!

Upon researching your company, I found that you have numerous complaints with the Better Business Bureau for these types of shady activities!

Perhaps you need a lesson in Georgia’s laws, we have a law called Theft by Deception. This is when someone commits or attempts to commit a theft by deceitful means! I think telling someone they are getting an $800 drill set for only $400 when the drill set sells for less than $100 is deceitful! Although I guess a jury might decide you can price your items at any amount you want!

However, there is another law that you might be interested in, Ga. Code 10-1-50. This law states that any unsolicited items mailed to an individual are considered a gift! I never solicited the drill bits or asked for them in any way! I only agreed to a 30-day free trial at your salesman’s request! He never told me I would be responsible for paying to mail them back!

Furthermore, I do heavy equipment grading and charge $175 an hour with a minimum charge of $500! You can send me all necessary items to return the drill bits and I’ll mail them back to you. Any other invoices or any time-wasting activities and you will receive an invoice from me for $500!

Please follow through on your treat to pursue legal action against me! You have to sue me in the county I live in which is a small rural county. I would love to tell a judge and jury about your company.

This can be solved very easily by sending the necessary prepaid items to return them to you within 10 days! If not I will consider them a gift under the aforementioned Georgia law!

Sincerely;

Terry Hunnicutt

My number is on the do not call list.

I received a call from inland empire industrial tool & supply.

They offered free samples, and said they would like to send along some supplies for me to use and see what i thought and if i did not approve, simply return the items at no charge. I do not approve need ask or order any tools yet they sent them with an invoice demanding payment of $529.90. If i opted to return the package they demand a 10% restock fee. A 10% restocking fee for an item i did not order not need. I leave the unopened box at my door and refuse to be held hostage by some scam artist.

Vintage Rides Garage is a transport business with no need for any tools other than a truck trailer & straps.

The company said they had a promotion for tools that they are sending and if I am interested I can purchase them or return if not interested. Shipment was received and they called laterat which point I informed them I am not interested in the product and they stated that it has been over 30 days so I must pay for the items. I reiterated that I am not interested in the products and I am requesting that they be returned.

For the past 7 months, they have called and threatened to file a lien against my business and against my credit and in some instances requested payment for the amount now due - approximately $600. I informed them that I did not place an order for the items and requested return information. Today, March 13, 2023 they called again and I informed them that I will mailed it myself and I was informed that they will only send it back to me because I need to pay for the items then they disconnected the phone. This and similar phone calls have been going on for the past 7 months and needs to stop.
