I contacted the official government social security website two weeks ago to use the retirement estimator to determine my monthly benefit after retirement. Since then I have received several calls/voicemails a day from various states regarding my inquiry to the social security office. Today I accidentally answered a call and it flipped from a recording to what sounded like an actual person, who started talking about helping me get $2600/month after retirement. Right in the middle, she asked "can you hear me OK" and it caught me so off guard that I said "yes". Then, realizing that this was a scam, I hung up. The other phone #'s from these same callers were:

715-927-8972, 405-351-6795, 715-861-6150 and 321-395-4729.
