She called, verified it was me. Read off the last 4 of my social. Again asking if it were me. I said yes. Told me i had taken out an online payday loan in 2019. If i agreed to pay it back today, the amount would significantly lower than the amount a little over a grand. I kept telling her i had no idea of what she was talking about. She brought up my a name that was used as reference. Asked if i knew this person, it was my wife's name. I repeated that i had no idea what she was talking about several times. She kept using my so called references name like it was supposed to jog my memory. She even said that was why she brought her into the conversation. Asked once again if i were willing to settle today? Answered no, Last thing she said before hanging up was " Fine, we will just put it on your credit report since you are refusing to settle today."
