Like the others, I recieved a text about a job interview that wanted me to download the app element. I did that and the interview seemed legit but I still had a weird feeling. Then they said I got the job and became vague about details. Then the stated that would send a check for me to purchase laptop and programs needed. Upon further research I came across this and it was the exact same thing. I immediately stopped communicating with the person.

I was contacted about a wfh job through text message. When i tried to call, they declined to answer. I was then instructed to downloaded an app element and click a link to invite the hiring manager. During the interview, there were extensive questions that seemed legit. Then some spelling errors arose. All of the descriptions of "online programs" i would have to use were vague. The job description seemed very vague like it was copied and pasted. Then they stated that they were going to send me a check for my equipment. That is when i knew my gut feeling was right. The inital person who reached out via text was calling themselves Stephanie Jones who claim to be from the HR department. The person who interviewed me was called Taylor Pennington PHD. I couldnt find any information on eiter of these people. The company seemed legit. The people claiming to be from the company didnt.
