The scammer called me, asked for me by first and last name and then proceeded to try and extort me for cash I owed for a “tool rental”. I proceeded to ask him if he had my id on file or a credit card. He said it was a cash deposit and nothing else was used. I spent about a hour with him explaining that it made no sense that a real established rental company would rent anything with cash and no identification. Once I pointed out his inconsistency he threatened to call the authorities (knew my actual address) for theft. The scammer will call all hours of the day and night and calls in intervals of 2-6 call per attempt
