I am a vendor working for 5 Star Production LLC as a videographer. I was hired on back at the start of this month to film a wedding on the 6th of October. I was reached by text message from a lady saying she found my info on "The Knot" which I was not advertising on at the time. That was a bit fishy, but I was on Wedding Wire, so I thought that it might have been a fluke. I was then contacted by a lady named Elecya, and she went over all the facts and info about what they do and how they work. I was then given login info to start my profile and sign the paperwork.
After getting settled in, I was given the assignment to film this wedding in NC on the 6th. The wedding was legit and all the info of the bride and groom was accurately provided. It was a 6 hour coverage day, nothing to wild or fancy. After the wedding was over the next few days I was given a login to 5 Star Production to their Google drive account so I could upload footage. I did so and then waited to submit an invoice and get paid. Upon submitting my invoice it was canceled, and then changed for reasons unknown to me.
It has been 3 weeks now and I have not heard anything from anyone at the company. I have tried every phone number, left voicemails, and emailed every contact info of each person I know. Still nothing. I reached out to my bride who also said that she has not heard anything from them in regards to getting footage or videos from them.
I am 99% sure that this is a scam company as I also got in contact with another vendor who says that they were scammed.
